Glass Handling Specialist – Johannesburg Gauteng
Salary: R22-24K + Benefits + Car Allowance

An opportunity for a hands-on, self-motivated individual with initiative, capacity for lateral thinking, sound interpersonal skills and the ability to respond positively to increasing responsibility is required to fill this key position. This challenging position exists in the Technical Department and the successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager. Based in Johannesburg South

Qualification & Experience:
• Minimum educational requirement is a B.Eng Degree in Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Theoretical understanding of Process Engineering will be assessed.
• Three to five years’ industrial experience in a process technology environment.
• Understanding of logistics, warehousing and glass handling as well as knowledge of glass making will be an advantage.

Responsibilities
• Analysis of Production data to establish conformance to operating and process standards
• Perform physical tests to verify data
• Interpret, analyse, & test outcomes to recommend corrective action to maintain the process control
• Monitor implementation of recommendations
• Apply innovation in the glass handling sphere
• Visiting customers and giving technical assistance
• Handling customer complaints
