PURPOSE:
To provide leadership as well as operational and strategic direction for the Customer Service & Logistics environment within the KWV.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Commercial.
• An MBA will be an advantage.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Understanding and experience with Six Sigma.
• At least 5 years’ experience of Warehouse and logistics Management.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal & relationship skills Driver’s license.
• Computer literacy ( MS Office ,Excel and PowerPoint) SAP experience a must.

JOB SUMMARY
• Deliver against the expectations of both our International and Local customers, measured against set criteria and SLA’s.
• Accountable for the end-to-end process – from receipt of order until delivery in the Warehouse (SA and International).
• Ensure service excellence is delivered whilst managing cost and inventory.
• Responsible for the most complex and multi- faceted issues within the following disciplines, warehousing, transportation, import / export, physical inventory, customer service.
• Drives projects and initiatives within areas of control.
• Act as the subject matter expert to whom the senior leadership team reaches out to with regards to his / her area of specialisation.
• Provide leadership to a team in order to deliver in terms of the strategic objectives.
• Determines directions and priorities and assigns resources with full accountability for results of the assigned functional area.
• Responsible for establishing and managing budgets.
• Applies expert knowledge and extensive experience to deal with variations in work conditions and operations to solve complex and diverse problems.
• Leads the development and implementation of improvements and/or solutions to work processes and tools in support of business and strategic plans.
• Establish International and Local partnerships, creating growth and potential ROI for KWV and our partners. (Managing of particular accounts – Hildebrand, Andersons, Chep)
• Leads the development and implementation of functional and cross-functional projects, plans, and programs in support of company strategy.
• Develops, recommends and implements highly complex supply chain, logistics, materials control, and/or import and export projects which can be for multiple locations utilizing sophisticated quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Study new International orders and provide advice and direction regarding, packaging, volumes, documentation, export rules of the Country of destination, e.g. China, etc.
