Permanent Senior Management Position within the Manufacturing/Retail/FMCG (Food) Industry
To Commence: 1 March 2015

Our international, household-name, client is looking for a dynamic, top-performing Senior Procurement Executive to oversee the Procurement of all Core IP products globally with particular focus on the manufacturing and procurement for both retail and franchises.

Qualifications and Experience (Not Negotiable):
• B.Degree with post graduate diploma/degree in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
• MBA advantageous but not essential
• 10 - 15 years’ experience in the supply chain/procurement functions with at least three years in leading a team and delivering category/departmental targets.

Key specifics:
o Developing the manufacturing, sourcing and logistics strategy including procurement, planning, contract manufacturing and logistics.
o Identification, development, negotiation and contracting, contract/performance management and relationship building with suppliers of products worldwide.
o Ensuring robust forecasting, planning and communication with contract manufacturers and suppliers of sauces and spices.
o Formulate short and medium term strategy of Procurement, ensuring business continuity to operate with globally recognised best practise standards and getting approval from Group leadership.
o Develop strong supplier relationship and drive best in class quality, cost and service improvement
o Working with other Supply Chain leaders of business units and CEOs to improve Global procurement of core products
o Working closely with the technical team to develop new products and quality improvement projects.
o Building robust risk management/contingency plans for global supplies within the supplier and distributor network
o Assist the Supply Chain Services Director to draw up annual budgets and forecasts.

Measures:
• Supplier scorecard tracking (cost, quality, service measures).
• Year on year inflation target achievement on procurement prices vs market movement. This would also include cost reduction initiatives with suppliers and contract manufacturers as agreed internally.
• Achieving service delivery of key KPIs for all internal customers

Reporting & Governance
• Reports to the Supply Chain Services Director
• Invitee to business reviews/ budget approval meetings as applicable.
• Other stakeholders are Group technical team, Business Unit Supply Chain leaders, Sauce and Spice suppliers, Supply Chain Service colleagues

Skills & Background
• Seasoned Supply Chain professional with directly relevant regional/global experience from multi-site, multi-country retail/restaurant/hospitality/CPG business.
• Experience in operating/managing in both company-owned and franchise environments,
• Experienced in managing peers and teams
• Experience and knowledge of procurement, planning and logistics with direct operating experience preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Experience in handling food commodities especially spices and flavours will be a distinct advantage.
• Strong influencing and relationship building skills.
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Credible peer with corporate team/ market heads/ franchise owners etc., able to impart knowledge and expertise to these key stakeholders.
• Personal presence and stature to represent the company with major contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Strong service oriented mind-set to ensure excellence in service delivery.
