Graduate Trainee Programme - Production - 1 Year fixed contract position

Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Graduate, strictly with BDegree/Btech or National Diploma in Production/Operations Management or Food Science
- Above average academic results with a passion for the Production Function
- Must be flexible and willing to work shifts

For the duration of the programme, the graduate will be developed in various disciplines on a rotational basis
Operations:
- Business Systems and Processes that ensure manufacturing and packing of products are in accordance with company policy
- Resource availability and management
- Production plan development, implementation and monitoring
- Conducting and chairing pre-shift and handover meetings
- Functioning and operation of machinery & equipment including checks, changeovers and breakdowns
- Production score boards, maintenance of appropriate systems and reporting
Warehousing & Distribution:
- Warehousing and distribution processes and controls
- Stock layouts and principles
- Stock/cycle counts
- Receipting and delivery
Engineering:
- Engineering processes and control
- Development and control of a maintenance plan and schedule
- Utilities
- Energy tracking and management
- Investigation and reporting on causes of machinery breakdowns
- Pragma administration
Supply Chain
- Procurement processes, controls and best practice
- Demand and operations planning
- Production planning and scheduling
