At Pangea we teach English to students from across the globe via our online web portal program on a 24/7 basis.
We have an incentivized pay structure based on the grade you receive from your students, average earnings is between R36-R50 per class for teachers who are in the middle to top bracket, average for teachers in the bottom bracket is R25/per class minimum. We work 24/7 and will require our teachers to work in specific shifts.
Full-Time is a minimum of 30/hrs a week with the weekend off (can pick up shifts over the weekend)
Part-Time is a 2-day shift on Saturday and Sunday, teachers are required to work one normal shift and one double shift.
We provide the following shifts; Limited time slots available.
Morning shift - 06:00am-12:45pm
Afternoon shift - 12:00pm-18:00pm
Evening shift - 18:00-00:00am
Graveyard shift - 00:00am-6:30am
We have three minimum requirements; please ensure you meet all the requirements before applying.
You MUST have a clear and neutral accent, as you will be teaching foreign nationals and it is essential for their learning to be able to understand their teacher.
Have a 3-year degree or diploma or be a registered student in your third year of consecutive studies towards a degree or diploma.
Be a South African citizen or have a study permit/work permit that is valid for at least 12 months.
We also require reliability from candidates as our teachers are helping foreign nationals to learn about various topics which may assist them in landing their perfect job, be active in conversations related to business meetings, as well as be more involved in small talk and most importantly it helps bridge the communication gap when they are traveling.
