Grants Practitioner
Contract Position: 2016 - 31 March 2018
An exciting position exists within a SETA to provide functional support to the Grants Unit. The position reports to the Grants Manager. Candidates who have the ability to work under pressure, who are willing to work overtime on a regular basis, who are performance driven and have sound interpersonal skill are encouraged to apply

Requirements:

? A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance/ Administration/ Public Administration/ Auditing

Experience:

? At least 3 years proven experience in a grants and target driven environment.
? Knowledge of skills development legislation, customer relationship management, project management, monitoring and evaluation, SQMR, SETA grant regulations.

Knowledge of:
? Skills Development Legislation, customer relationship management, project management, monitoring and evaluation, SETA Grants Regulation and excellent computer literacy skills (MS Office)

Key Performance Areas

? Effective management of Discretionary Grants
? Ensure Quality Management System documentation are implemented and maintained within the Grants Unit
? Ensure appropriate linkages to the Management Information System (MIS)
? Evaluate applications received and establish that requirements for successful implementation by companies are in place.
? Ensure that Discretionary Grants budget proposals applications are accurate, cost-effective and market-related
? Effective management of contracts & award letters.
? Effective management of payments
? Preparation of tracking reports and statistical reports
• Effective management of the Discretionary Grants applicant’s database
? Maintenance of companies’ database.

The salary for this positon is R370 553pa
