Graphic / Web Design Intern

Job Description: 

The position is based in Cape Town and successful candidate will work directly with the Creative Director and respective clients. The ideal candidate must have outstanding graphic design skills, work quickly, have a thorough understanding of branding and communication design, be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. 

Main purpose of the Role:

The Intern is responsible for assisting the Creative Director with the full design process for clients - from scamping ideas to mocking up and packaging for digital/print/development. This includes print, online projects, and marketing campaigns. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing for various streams of design including print, digital & occasional photography 
• Assist in sourcing, ordering, downloading images
• Brainstorm and present ideas to clients 
• Image retouching and editing 
• Experience in photography is advantageous 

Minimum Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design is a must

• Ability to deep etch at a professional level
• Proficiency in relevant computer software packages such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Thorough understanding of web design and branding
• Past experience in web design is advantageous
• Willingness to take on tasks beyond defined role
• Skills in image retouch work
