My Client based in Johannesburg is looking to employ a Graphic Design - Team Leader.

Purpose of role:

The Graphic Design Team Leader will be responsible for managing the creative team and the creative processes, including copy/content writing, for the various brands within the various client portfolios, over and above performing one’s graphic design duties. Thus ensuring that the creative team provides the various Brand Managers/ brief owners with the various collateral/ marketing items required in order for the clients brands to achieve their objectives within the stipulated timelines.

Duties and Responsiblities:

• To develop the CI manuals for use in all areas of advertising, with aid from the above-the-line and web creative teams.
• To provide creative solutions to marketing briefs in accordance with overall brand strategy.
• To creatively direct the designers within the Creative Studio to ensure high quality output.
• To guide the designers within the Creative Studio in areas pertaining to the below-the-line industry, including web and print.
• To liaise with clients and suppliers (external and internal) to produce the best quality work.
• To advise other departments involved with any production of creative work.
• To perform general management functions to ensure smooth running of the department.

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification (at least three years) in graphic design, art or similar (Essential)
• Three years experience in advertising or a related industry with specific experience in: Below the Line (BTL) creative, production, copywriting, graphic design and client liaison (Essential)
• Previous supervisory/ Team leader or management experience (Desirable) 
• Additional years’ experience in advertising or related industry (Desirable)
