Group Africa Business Development Executive
Client is a South African group with 35 businesses specializing in the importation and distribution of high-quality branded automotive, industrial and electronic consumable products.

Experience Required
Extensive high-level Africa business development and management experience in a medium to large enterprise. Experience in automotive, industrial or electronic consumables advantageous.

Remuneration
R950 000 - R1.5 million ctc pa

Qualifications
Relevant university degree and/or MBA advantageous technical/electrical/mechanical qualification helpful

Directly to executive director

Overall Function
Develop a detailed strategy for sales and market growth in Sub-Sahara Africa region. Collaborate with all Business units to increase and maximize our efforts and results in Africa sales. Develop and establish an Africa Business Development team to support and achieve strategic group business growth targets. Extensive Africa travel required.

Responsibilities
Identify and develop the strategic direction for Business Development. Management of all Businesses and activities in the Sub-Sahara Africa region. Support and collaborate with all the organization’s executive teams to establish and meet business development targets with solid financial results. Drive the Africa strategy to include all regions, skills required, and languages needed to support business in Sub-Sahara. Provide leadership in the employment, motivation and management of the required skilled staff as and when required. Drive the business units to meet or improve on the strategy and the support from each business unit required in to be successful. Provide direction, management and support in optimizing infrastructure and resources to best support the group and our targets. Analyze, review and guide the management to support our strategy. Analyze, review and report to the group executives and executive committee on the progress and status of our performance. Identify and advise on potential risk areas financial or other that could impact the group. Implement and manage a review program to support our strategy. In collaboration with the business units, identify and define group policies and procedures and the adherence thereto. Ensure that our Africa Business operate within all the various agreements representative within all the relevant Business Units.
