About the job:

Our Client who is based in Johannesburg and has servicing contracts with various mines in the North West, Mpumalanga and other areas, has a permanent position for suitably qualified Business Development Manager.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.
The core function is Sales, Product and Business Development within the regions which our client operates as well as upon request specific tasks within the group relating to the products and services which they offer.
The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to acquire new customers and sell additional products or services to existing ones and build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree in a Technical study/ BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
• A minimum of 10 years proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Broad knowledge of the Auto Electrical, Mining, Construction, Agriculture, Forestry, New Technologies, digital and communication
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Time management and planning skills
• Strategic network in the Mining, Construction sector
• Knowledge and Experience of Project Management processes and Contracts Management an added advantage.
• Valid code 10 Drivers License
