FunctionTo direct and drive an all-inclusive group segment strategy along with banqueting/catering forthe hotel and group sales team, ensuring all lines within the group budget are achievedalong with annual goals both individually and as a team.Experience & QualificationsMinimum of eight (3) years of sales experience within the Meetings, Conference & Incentive market segments, preferably within the 5 star Hotel or Hospitality IndustryOperational & Travel experience advantageousKnowledge of hotel and competitive marketsRelevant tertiary qualification/Hospitality or Sales qualification and/or equivalentDuties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing revenue management techniques and ensure improved occupancies and RevPAR.Build an accurate and effective database of current and potential guests/accounts and categorise database based on production and potential.Maintain accurate and up to date information on competition’s performance, sales & marketing strategy etc.Ensure high occupancy of banquets and co-ordinate with the banquet team on various group enquiries and functions.Assist in implementing the sales & marketing plan for the unit.Assist in preparation of revenue budgets for rooms, the various F&B and also the Banqueting/catering department at the Hotel.Identify key customer needs through formal research, survey, sales calls & meetings.A solid understanding on the market you will be focusing on as per the company’s requirements.Conduct site inspections and hosted functions at the hotel as per minimum requirements.Promote and actively sell Food and Beverage promotions.
