Group Consolidation Accountant required for a company in Bryanston

About the job:
An exciting and fast growing consumer goods group is looking for a financial reporting and consolidation accountant to join their head office team in Johannesburg. This is a great opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) to join a young and dynamic team building a high-performance culture in a fast-paced environment.
The person will be responsible for managing and further developing inward management and financial reporting from the group’s businesses and assisting in preparing consolidations and outward reporting to the executive and shareholders.

Experience & Qualifications:
- CA(SA)
- Strong academic performance
- 2-5 years post qualified experience in a similar role
- Experience with a “group of companies” structure including financial consolidations (experience with the consolidation of foreign entities would be advantageous)
- Experience in the performance/completion of a group audit at a supervisory level (in a listed environment would be advantageous)
- Exposure to fast moving consumer goods advantageous

Technical Competencies:
- Technically up to date with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specifically relating to foreign exchange transactions, business combinations and consolidations
- Strong tax knowledge from a technical and compliance (return submission, eFiling etc) perspective
- Experience in group reporting systems (Vena, Hyperion, FRX etc)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills/experience
