Position Description: Group Financial Analyst

Preliminary Duties

Coordination between Divisional Financial Managers and Head Office Directors
Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information
Reviewing of Monthly Divisional Reporting
Predicting future financial trends
Producing financial reports related to budgets, cashflows, capital tracking, shareholder ROI’s etc
Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk
Collaborate with Divisional Finance Teams regarding Planning & Performance and Divisional Finance to support overall Divisional goals and objectives
Ensure deadlines are in place and adhered to by Divisional Financial Managers
Manage and Minute all Monthly Divisional Financial Meetings
Management, oversight and participation in internal and external financial audit / financial review activities.
Review Final AFS for all divisions prior to Board Submission
Provision of advice, training and support to the Business Unit management team to improve business planning and performance outcomes.
Review, Develop and Implement Financial Processes and Templates where required
Tax research and advice

Skills / Knowledge

Must be able to extract reports from Pastel
Advanced Excel Skills
High standards of accuracy and precision with highly developed organisational skills.
Ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
Strong financial knowledge in the consolidation of results, financial and management accounting, audit, taxation and corporate financing.
A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
Commercial and business awareness
Emotional maturity and professional integrity

Qualifications / Experience

Qualified - CA (SA)
Experience at an Audit Firm for at least 3 years and Experience in a Commercial Role for at least 1 year.

Salary Bracket

R 30 000 – R 40 000 p/month
