A strong, career-focused and ambitious CA(SA) with 8 years post-articles experience is needed to become the Group Financial Manager of a listed company reporting to the Financial Director. Play an intricate part in the financial well-being of this group of companies listed on the JSE. The company offers strong benefits and has an excellent bonus-structure that rewards high level performance and commitment. This position is based in Cape Town. Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals. Remuneration will based on the individual’s skills, qualification as well as the incumbent’s current salary, but can pay a maximum of R1 000 000, excl. performance bonus.



Qualification:

CA(SA) – non-negotiable



Skills & Experience:

A minimum of 2 years as Group Financial Manager (or similar position)

Experience in a listed environment is preferable

Excellent report writing skills (reports to be published publically)

Excellent analytical skills

Must be results-orientated

Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentations which must be at an executive and board level

Strong leadership skills

Impeccable time management skills

Strong problem solving abilities

Job Description:

The purpose of this function is to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of the group, to submit accurate financial information. Implement financial controls through-out the group as well as identify control weaknesses within the group. Review all financial information of the group. Ensure the group’s tax compliance has been adhered to and to draft the annual financial statements as well as interim financials for the group.
