GROUP FINANCIAL MANAGER – AGRICULTURAL CONCERN HEAD OFFICE, PAARL


The Group FM will be responsible to manage the financial department as per sound financial systems, practices and processes that are compliant with relevant legislation and meet principles of international best practices and will allow the organisation to achieve its strategic financial objective.


APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Chartered Accountant / CFA

• A MBA or Honours Degree would be an advantage

• 4-5 years broad-based financial management experience (post articles), in a relevant industry

• 3 years of which should have been in a similar senior management capacity

• A detailed working knowledge in the manufacturing industry in a senior financial role Working knowledge of SAFEX

• An existing grain industry network
• The Companies Act


COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS).

• Knowledge of relevant financial legislation (e.g. Credit Act)
• Knowledge of Financial Modelling

• Knowledge of Company Business Planning and Business Management principles
• Knowledge of Taxation (Company, Personal, VAT)

• Financial systems management of group entities
• Financial planning and reporting of group entities
• Financial advice and direction of group entities

• Sound financial management of group entities
• Leadership
