Group Financial Manager

A successful and progressive organisation in the engineering, design and manufacturing sector is seeking to appoint a Group Financial Manager. The position will be based in Parow and will be responsible for financial management of the group’s offices nationally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong operational/action orientated management style and a 50/50 appetite for operations and finance.

Requirements:

Relevant Tertiary Education.
Chartered Accountant (SA) registered at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
CIMA Qualified.
5-8 years’ experience in a financial management role (within a medium to large enterprise).
Experience in working in a manufacturing, engineering or similar environment with hands-on experience gained in a technical environment.
Proven success with Stakeholder engagement with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Advanced to Expert MS Excel skills are essential (Pivot tables, Data Management, V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Macros, etc.).
ACCPAC experience would be advantageous.
Willing to travel frequently to manage financial staff at the offices across South Africa.

Key Performance Areas:

Financial planning, forecasting and target setting.
Budget management (compiling of budgets, budget control and coordination).
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports and schedules.
Monitor and manage all internal systems and controls (ongoing evaluation and implementation of controls and changes).
Effective management of working capital cycle (collection of debtors, cash management, stock management and supplier management).
Standardise business models to calculate and evaluate IRR of different products and investments.
Responsible for the entire Company Secretary Function.
Overall responsibility for legal, statutory, regulatory and operational compliance.
Responsible for banking profiles and treasury controls.
Preparation of reports for the fortnightly Group Executive Committee meetings.
Liaising with insurance brokers and ensuring adequate insurance cover.
Review of agreements.
Dealings with external auditors, facilitating audits of all relevant Companies.
Other tasks as the Company may reasonably require from time to time.

The position will require extensive interaction and involvement within operations including but not limited to the supply chain and full value chain and must have the ability to create meaningful relationships at all levels across branches nationally.
