VACANCY: Group Forecasting Planning and Analysis Manager -SA
REPORTS TO: Head of Forecasting Planning and Analysis
DIVISION: Ascendis Management Services
GRADE: D-UPPER

JOB OBJECTIVE

• Managing budget and forecasting process
• Providing accurate financial reports and interpreting financial information within specific deadlines
• Coordinating the activities of divisional financial managers
• Setting and monitoring working capital and cash conversion KPIs
• Administration and completion of existing and future projects under the direction of the CFO/CEO
• Providing commercial/financial support to all divisional functions
• Liaise with external auditors
• Liaise with material shareholders on deals requiring financial information
• Report to financial institutions on covenant compliance

TASK DESCRIPTION

• Implementation, review and monitoring of target setting process in reporting system aligned with the group
• Strategy
• Implementation, review and monitoring of forecast process in reporting system aligned with the group

• Conduct meetings between CEO, CFO and divisional MDs and FMs to align forecasts and budgets to
• group strategy
• Monitor, evaluate and report on group historical and projected performance, including preparing templates
• and presentations to Revco and Exco where needed
• Liaise with private equity partners on special projects
• Respond to audit queries on company performance and financial information
• Set and review annual working capital and cash conversion KPI's for divisional MDs and FMs
• Ensure correct implementation, usage and maintenance of current and future ERP systems
• Identify and react quickly to problems and develop appropriate responses to minimise financial risk
• Conduct reviews and evaluations to identify risks within the business
• Attend monthly Group Finance meetings
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports as required
• Attend to ad hoc queries as required

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Qualified CA(SA)/CIMA
• At least 5 years post article experience in corporate or listed organization
• Knowledge of the pharmaceuticals/FMCG industry advantageous
• Previous experience with IBM COGNOS products advantageous
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
