We are searching for a Senior Level Group IT Application Manager (for a leading Financial Services Institution) to manage all developed and outsourced applications of the Group of companies.

As the successful Manager you will be responsible for overseeing SDLC of all internally developed as well as 3rd party developed systems. You will also be charged with enforcing, managing and monitoring the internal development process according to controlled standards.

Your Key Accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing the Application Incident management team in order to maintain and report on the operational health of the internal systems of the Group
• Managing resource allocation and monitoring to ensure delivery in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders and with consideration to active and planned projects and change requests reliant on the same resources
• Being responsible for SLA management of all external third parties to which an application function is outsourced to ensure continuous business support and activity
• Co-ordinating internal development resources that might be required in the successful implementation of changes required on outsourced systems in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
• Undertaking problem management as brought about by identified incident trends

You will meet the following criteria/minimum requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree/Diploma in IT related field
• At least 8-10 years IT management experience
• Application architecture and design principles exposure
• Resource management experience
• Project management track record
• Financial management / budgeting know-how
• IT governance and standards (knowledge of ITIL & CoBIT)
• IT Applications and system management experience
• Knowledge of System Implementation
• Strong background in leading and managing a team
