Job Description
Assess and report on SHEQ compliance within the group within efficient use of the SHEQ structures in appropriate Safety and Health Systems.
Auditing and analyzing the SHEQ systems whilst giving feedback on the performance
Apply the Integrated Management System (IMS) to launch, document, scrutinize, explicit and report on Group SHEQ status.
Developing, learning initiates to support the implementation of a Health and Safety management system whilst facilitating the required training processes
Identifying the S&H requirements and assessing the impacts they might have
Hosting external S&H Audits whilst conducting internal S&H Audits and monitoring on audit findings
Implementing S&H projects whilst reporting on the statistics
Ensuring a permissive climate / culture
Developing of line report to achieve labour stability by minimising labour turnovers or placements through compliance to the legislative requirements
Ensure junior staff are linked to performance evaluations
Ensure conducted career discussions and the implementation of necessary actions needed
Ensure discipline is maintained within the department
Coaching and counselling subordinates to enhance performance
Building of working relationship with clients
Identifying areas for continuous improvements and ensuring company standards are met
Identify and assess health and safety risks
Ensure incident investigations are done as assigned
Investigate incidents and participates in level 2 /3 /4
Implement required processes to align with the behaviour expectation
Developing and implementing policies standards and tool-kits etc. as required
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma or Relevant Degree
Minimum of 6 years relevant experience, however 2 years managerial experience preferred
Understanding of Mining and Furnace operations advantageous
