Our multi franchise client across a few provinces is looking to employ a strong Group Workshop Manager.
Reporting to: C.O.O.
Main purpose of job
- To ensure workshops are run efficiently and maximising profits as per the Budget/Forecast.
Relationships and personal activities
a) Directly responsible to:-
- C.O.O.
b) Indirectly responsible for:-
- Service Managers.
c) Build relationships with:-
- Vehicle manufacturers, Oil companies and all other suppliers to the workshops, ****@*****.***.
Objectives and key tasks
a) Improved profitability:-
- Selling Gross Rand Value – Budget
- Selling Gross retention – Budget
- Total Gross Profit % - 75%
- Labour Gross Profit % - 85%
b) Customer service and satisfaction:-
- CVP/CSI – Manufacturer’s target
i. Overall CVP/CSI
ii. Fix right first time
c) Cost control:-
- Warranty Aged
- Cash Outstanding
- WIP over 60 days
- Proper usage of Bulk Oil control systems
- Asset audits including Special tools
d) Standards, policies and procedures
- Workshop Policies and procedures and standards are implemented and complied with.
- Housekeeping including warranty store, special toolroom, document filing
- Health and Safety policies are implemented and we comply to the Health and Safety Act.
e) Health and Safety
- Ensure action plans are implemented as proposed by ****@*****.***.
- Health and Safety committee meetings are held
- Staff are trained to perform the necessary health and safety actions.

- None
b) Personnel:-
- Joint responsibility for Recruitment of Service Personnel as and when required.
c) Operational:-
- Authorised to implement workshop policies as agreed by C.O.O.
