Founded in 1956, this once little butcher shop on the corner has transformed their business into one of the most successfully independently black owned meat companies in the South African meat industry. With 5 branches across the Cape Peninsula, our client is seeking an experienced, innovative, motivated and mature HACCP Manager for their Head Office in the Southern Suburbs.

In addition to driving their very stringent hygiene and HACCP processes, key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining thorough HACCP, ISO and ZA procedures
• Controlling and managing documentation required to manage the process
• Daily control of cold chain management throughout the plant and delivery vehicles.
• Training of all staff in adhering and conforming to the requirements of hygiene control.
• Providing strategic analysis and recommendations to the Directors
• Directing involvement with all audits and inspection of the facility
• Maintaining and improving on the current rating
• Implementing and maintaining SOP’s
• Liaising with retail - and catering clients on all hygiene and safety issues

Key requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar management position
• Good understanding of the HACCP and ISO laws and regulations that govern the process.
• Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft packages
