Hatchery Manager will be responsible for operations of Hatchery to ensure achievement of production targets within specified quality, environmental standards and budgeted profitability. He will ensure the production quantity as per schedule and meet the quality level consistent with the lowest cost while maintaining highest standards of Bio security in a safe work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and coordinate hatchery activities such as, egg pick-up and deliveries, incubation and hatching, grading, vaccination, and
preparation and shipping of chicks
• Achieve budgeted targets with maximum hatch rate and excellent cost control
• Oversee Quality Assurance/Quality Control program
• Monitor and manage facility equipment and repairs, addressing maintenance issues.
• Oversee hatchery sanitation and maintain highest standards of Bio security measures.
• Keep a current knowledge of industry trends and information regarding hatchery equipment and operations
• Manage animal welfare program
• Plan and oversee hatchery budget
• Comply with all company policies, animal welfare guidelines, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations
• Interpret hatchery records and genetic data and advice customers brooding, feeding, medication and bio-security practices.
• Comply with companies and OSHA safety health and environment guidelines.
• Manage chick care, maintenance, packing and transfer activities
• Manage and maintain weekly hatching schedules.
• Direct supervision of employees
• Prepare daily/ monthly reports
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s degree in animal or poultry science
• Computer Literacy
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years experience in managing Hatchery with production capacity of 50,000 chics per month or more.
