Reporting to the Executive of the Business division, the successful candidate will be responsible for Corporate Sales at national level, focusing on the direct market. The objective is the achievement of increased volumes and dominance of the corporate market nationally. The incumbent will be expected to provide strategic input and direction to the business on sustainable market share dominance over time. This is a senior management position with responsibility to lead teams at a national level and influence on the success of the Corporate Sales business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the direct Business Sales strategy.
• The development of sustainable long-term relationships with key fleet customers nationally.
• Delivery of new fleet customers to the business.
• Building capability for the generation of sales and an increase in volumes from the corporate channel (in terms of strategy, tactics, team deployment, management of resources etc.).
• Input into the national sales budget and the management of the achievement of targets nationally.
• Implementation of appropriate internal systems to manage relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
• Building and maintaining a comprehensive data base of corporate customers to allow for the hunting and farming of business across sectors.
• Lead the Corporate Sales teams in six regions, providing leadership, management of targets, performance management and customer service.
• Leadership and development of staff on a national basis.
• The ability to analyze the current and future needs of the business and to formulate sales strategies accordingly.
• The ability to influence the team and those not under his/her own direct reporting structure regarding the benefits of proposed changes.
• The ability to motivate sales people and drive delivery on sales in terms of volumes and profitability.

Skills experience and Education:
• A tertiary qualification, preferably in Sales and Marketing is essential and at least five years Corporate Sales management experience, preferably in a fleet management related environment.
• A business qualification such as an MBA, MDP or similar management development programme would be advantageous.
• Must have five years’ experience in the management of large and diverse sales team, including the provision of leadership to regional sales managers and their teams.
• Verifiable experience in achieving business growth in terms of sales and long term profitability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strategic, intellectual and analytical abilities.
• Consultative style with influencing ability.
• High degree of emotional intelligence with strong leadership skills.
