Head Chef sought for beach-front hotel Durban. The hotel is part of a national hotel group.
The successful candidate will be at home with buffet as well as ala carte dining. The position is live-out.

Minimum requirements:
Matric
Formal culinary qualification
Minimum 3 years as Sous Chef in full-service hotels/industrial catering units

Responsibilities include following:
• Menu planning
• Cost control & calculations
• Stock control and ordering
• Ordering and supplier negotiations
• Staff management
• Staff training
• Hygiene control

We are looking for a person who has experience in large hotel environments or commercial/industrial catering units. Kitchen management is a particularly important part of this position, both administration and staff management.

Hours will be as per operational requirement, as agreed upon on employment.

Salary offered is R15 000 CTC per month, pension benefits are offered after the probation period of three months.
