HEAD: KEY ACCOUNTS – HEALTH & BEAUTY

Area: Midrand
Package: Negotiable up to R1,0 m p/a
Job Purpose
To develop and manage strategic customer relationships and strategies at a senior level within the business and develop and ensure implementation world-class strategy key account competencies in order to build sustainable, profitable relationships and achieve strategic intent.

Duties:
• Responsible for management of the operational execution of;
- Monitoring daily, weekly and monthly sales against target
- Driving retail sales through the use of paid promotions and ad-hoc promotions
- Promoting sales through price, above the line and in-store advertising and the sales team
- Negotiating trading terms and ensuring that they are being adhered to
- Managing the profitability of the promotion
- Reviewing the profitability per account
- Reviewing category management and ensuring that the products receive the relevant store space based on market share and till sales
- Negotiate for store space and ensure that it is maintained and enforced by the sales team
- Keeping sales team informed of new promotions in order to ensure promotion is run successfully
- Reviewing competitor pricing
- Implementing price increases
- Reviewing reporting systems available from customer
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of the market and competitor info
- Staying informed of all relevant market and competitor info
- Maintaining existing and implementing new product listings
• Providing feedback to Senior Management
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Convening meetings
• Attending and participating in meetings
• Compiling reports as required
• Pricing and deal tracker
• Minimal pricing claims
• Promotional confirmation approval on price and deal discounts
• Maintaining a filing system (both electronic and hard copy)

Requirements
• Matric, Sales & Marketing Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years Industry & Key Account Management experience
• Experience in Pharmacy or Health & Beauty categories advantageous
