This highly successful specialized software solutions company supplies software to a large number of local and international companies and requires the expertise for a Head of Business Development.

The Head of Business Development will develop and lead the sales strategy that will position the company to achieve long term growth, while meeting annual revenue and profitability goals. The Head of Business Development will direct the efforts of the sales team and sales efforts of the business development partners in Africa. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for selling the full suite of specialized software solutions throughout South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.

REPORTING TO:
CEO

ROLES REPORTING TO THE HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
Two Business Development Executives
Sales Representative
Three Sales Support Staff

REQUIREMENTS:
15 years of experience in the sales environment
Minimum of 5 years serving in a senior consulting, advisory, or business development and sales role
Experience within either the Software, Professional Services, and / or Consulting industries
Experience in the Construction & Engineering industry would be a distinct advantage
Good track record of sales budget achievement

Mostly worked with, and sold to, CXO level
Worked in a cohesive senior team sales environment
Excellent understanding of general business principles and concepts
Proven ability in mapping business requirements to winning solutions
Proven experience in managing complex BTB sales
