Head of Compliance

ROLE PURPOSE

COMPETENCY
Understands how the business operates, what the key issues and risks are that drives business success; and how they impact on the commercial viability of potential ventures and the profitability of the Group.
Prioritises the business interests of MMI and invests in the success of the group by aligning effort across divisions.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Business, Legal , Risk or Finance degree
Postgraduate Business, Legal, Risk or Finance degree (preferred)
2 years’ experience in managing governance, legal, business or compliance within the Financial Service or Insurance Industry
2 years leadership experience at a senior or executive level
Exposure to contributing to Regulatory and Governance committees and strong stakeholder management experience
Knowledge of legislation that impacts the Financial Services Industry (e.g. Long Term Insurance Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act, Financial Advisory, Intermediary etc.)
