Purpose Of The Job
Responsible for Customer Analytics and Insights, made relevant for each of the company’s Trading divisions.

Key Outputs:
• Review and adjust a group Customer Analytics strategy and obtain commitment from individual operating companies
• Ensure the strategy is in support of the trading division’s objectives.
• Lead the analytics team, and suppliers entrusted with the strategy.
• Commercialization of the analytics functions within the group.
• With the support of the legal team, consult to Trading Divisions on legislation as it relates to customer information.
• Be close to key decisions regarding architecture and technology selection as it relates to the analytics strategy.
• Explore opportunities for analytics in other areas of retail and Telco business units.
• Build and manage strong relationships with key business stakeholders
• Negotiate with and manage supplier relationships
• Build and motivate a strong team


JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
• Qualifications can originate from a Commercial degree, Actuarial Sciences degree, or Computer Science degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior level
• Robust understanding of software application environment and infrastructure architecture, especially as it relates to data, analytics and data science as a profession.
• A proven record of developing and executing strategy within commercial realities of limited time and resources.
• Solid financial understanding coupled with cost consciousness
• Proven experience and successful track record in business process management & improvement in retail or a related industry
• Solid experience of developing and nurturing relationships at all levels within the organisation.
• Strong service orientation
• Ability to motivate and manage high performance teams to deliver within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
• Ability to engage with, influence and guide business decision-makers in using customer data to the benefit of the Group
