One of our clients has a position available for a HEAD OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT in KRUGER NATIONAL PARK.
Purpose: To lead the reserve’s environmental conservation and and operations activities and the respective teams.
• Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 10 years working experience of which at least 3 years were in a big 5 area / game reserve / one of the national parks.
Manage a department with /- 30 staff members of which 2 Unit Managers.
Excellent written ability in English including technical and scientific report writing skills.
Proven experience in GIS mapping s essential
Advanced ArcGIS software skills.
Advanced knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations for nature reserves.
Must have valid firearm competencies (rifle and handgun) and experience of animal control interventions.
Must have valid Driver’s license and experience of 4x4 driving.
• Minimum Qualifications:
Post graduate Degree in conservation or environmental related field.
Basic: R30,000 – R35,000
