Head of Employee Relations (AA)

My client supports Employment Equity principles and preference will be given to people from designated groups

Area: Sandton

Package: negotiable up to R1 400 000 CTC P/A

Purpose of the position:
My client is looking for an individual to drive the consistent application of Employee Relations across the company environment

Key Performance Areas
Strategic trade union management
Management of contingency labour requirements
Development, maintenance and management of Industrial Relations best practice
Manage third party disputes
Manage the relationship between the company and the relevant Union
Employment Equity

Minimum Academic Requirements, Professional Qualifications, and Experience:
Qualifications:
At least a Post-graduate degree in Human Resources; Industrial Psychology or a related field
Experience
8-10 years’ experience in senior management employee relations environment

Functional Competencies
Expert and strategic knowledge of Human Resources processes
Good knowledge of Labour legislation and how it can be used as a strategic tool in the business
Current knowledge of best practice for Human Resources in a retail environment
Excellent understanding of the business operating model
Express and implied ethical responsibilities
