ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to further develop, expand, implement and manage the investments strategy in respect of Income solution products in support of the various segments and their respective distribution channels. To develop appropriate market leading Income solutions, strategy, practices and processes focusing on growing the earnings, value of new business and return on embedded value of the Income solution business and taking accountability for the various managerial responsibilities and strategic objectives for these businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS
• End to end ownership of the Income product business
• Managing a team of actuarial and other specialists to drive product development and Management
• Ensure effective financial management, control and corporate governance for the Income solution business
• Take accountability for the management of business-related and product risks through appropriate risk forums and documenting and quantifying all relevant business and product risks
• Liaise with, build and maintain relationships with key clients, heads of market segments, product houses and channels, specialists and other stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient product development, process delivery and client satisfaction to all
• Contribute to the design and development of quotations, disclosure clauses and policy contracts
• Contribute to a service culture that builds rewarding relationships, drives innovation and allows others to provide exceptional client service. Establish and maintain a culture of organisational co-operation in order to ensure a professional service delivery
• Perform regular experience investigations and work closely with the Corporate Actuarial teams to determine pricing/valuation assumptions and targets
• Ensure accurate pricing and required profitability levels are achieved for new and existing products
• Monitor ongoing product performance against expectations
• Take accountability for the development of new innovative Income products and the enhancement to existing products
• Co-ordinate, remunerate and prioritize resource allocation within the Income product house
• Demonstrate leadership behaviour of personal involvement, commitment and dedication to the business in support of the organisation's culture
• Provide an efficient and effective coaching process to own staff
• Engage with appropriate interventions to ensure continuous professional development of self and staff.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Qualified Actuary (with at least 3 years post qualification experience)
• 3+ years relevant management experience
• Strong technical annuity product experience
• An interest in developing staff and driving transformational culture change
• A demonstrated track record of disciplined execution, especially the delivery of complex projects requiring cooperation across business units in a large organisation
• Ability to build trust & constructive cooperative relationships with senior stakeholders across a large organisation
• Excellent communicator who can adapt to different levels of audience, expertise and different sizes of audiences in both their written and verbal communication
• Technical expertise is well-balanced by a customer mindset and an appetite to deliver a great customer experience beyond just the technical elements of the offering
