Minimum requirements:

• High Court Admission
• LLM (Corporate/Commercial Law) highly advantageous
• Compliance Management Certificate advantageous

• Corporate and Commercial legal knowledge essential
• Drafting and negotiation experience essential
• Company Law and contract drafting experience essential
• Research skills required
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills essential

Responsibilities:
• Manage Legal Department
• Advice on legal and compliance aspects to Business Divisions and support functions
• Contribute in the development process of Group’s policies, procedures, controls, etc
• Liaise with external Law Firms re legal cases for and against group
• Provide legal advice to management re Group’s functioning, expansion proposals, new subsidiaries, strategic moves, etc
• Support to Executive Management – developing compliance strategy, etc
• Provide legal support to all Branches and Head Office Departments
• Supervise and follow up on legal cases
• Draft legal documents, contracts, etc
• Advise Group re changes in legislation
• Company Secretarial duties for Group
