This Karoshoek solar thermal power project in co-operation with the company SERATYPE will start recruiting in April 2018 for the Operations Maintenance phase and we are inviting candidates with relevant qualification and experience to apply for the underneath permanent position:

HEAD OF PLANNING & QUALITY
KAROS AREA

Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a technical industrial engineer qualification with 1-2 year’s experience in the industrial sector, preferably in the maintenance of industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of thermal power station processes (thermodynamics), fluid mechanics, instrumentation and control, automation, equipment mechanics (pumps, turbines, valve
systems, exchangers, etc.), electricity (high and low voltage ), PCI, HV AC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and the management and identification of drawings {P&IDs, one-line diagrams,
exploded diagrams of equipment, etc.) will be valued.
- Basic course on the prevention of occupational risks
- Computer literate in MS Office and SAP
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Responsibilities will include:
- Attending the Operation meeting and supervising the correct drawing up of the minutes.
- Supervising and keeping records of work planned by the maintenance staff.
- Supervision of combination slips.
- Technical support SAP implementations.
- Review of maintenance notices for planning purposes.
- Supervision of work preparation/planning.
- Analysis of SAP implementations and records.
- Studying possible improvements to SAP.
- Drafting monthly SAP reports containing the information required to monitoring maintenance, warehouse and cost center work.
- Incorporation into SAP of the preventive maintenance and maintenance procedure plans.
- Contact the Head of O&M, Head of Operation and Head of Maintenance for long term planning.
- Develop and maintain a scheduled and preventive maintenance plan, reviewed quarterly.
- Approve procedures and guarantee that their status will allow the energy acquisition contract and the fuel supply contracts to be effectively managed.
- Implement a quality system such as the one applied to the operations and maintenance department.
- Follow, develop and maintain all obligatory and legal procedures and requirements for the entire facility regarding quality, safety and labour.
- Comply with all operating requirements in the agreement.
- Control and develop the training, aptitudes and experience of the facility staff.
- Create facility cost control tools.
- Take part in training activities on and off site, to either receive or give training as necessary.
- The holder of the position is expected to comply with all legal and corporate health requirements related to their obligations and responsibilities.
- Staff management in accordance with local and the operator's human resources policies.
- Responsible for updating the document management system, SAP administrator.
- Control the consumption of external gas, electricity, water and Operation consumables of the operation
