A well-known Non-profit Organization is seeking a WASH Specialist to join their team as Head of Department in Ethiopia. Minimum Requirements: Qualification: BSc Civil Engineering with post graduate education or extensive experience in water, sanitation and hygiene, or related. Skills and Experience: • 7 - 10 years’ management experience • Fluent in English • Experience in rural areas and the development environment • Substantial field experience • Experience in managing multiple projects, including research • Experience in designing and writing proposals for funding • Strong policy understanding, implementation and conformance experience • Advocacy skills and experience • Humanitarian and disaster risk assistance experience • Experience working with government partners, including local partners and associations • Knowledge and understanding of the Ethiopian development framework - relevant to WASH • Strong analytical and writing skills • An understanding of child rights • Cultural awareness and the ability to work well in diverse groups • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Leading WASH Strategic Programme through the whole cycle, from development to implementation • Identify potential WASH partner organizations • Planning and review meetings for the WASH department • Quarterly and annual reports • Performance management • Actively communicate and coordinate with Directors • Strategic Fundraising • Develop policy briefs and position papers related to the WASH programme • Manage the WASH team • Develop and manage budgets for staff of the WASH team Salary: $ 10 000 - $ 8 000 The company strongly believes in equal opportunity.
