RedCat Recruitment is seeking a trade tested and experienced HEAVY ENGINEERING TURNER (SHIPPING INDUSTRY) for a well-established international company – position based in Durban.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Valid Code 08 driver’s license.
Trade tested (ESSENTIAL).
Substantial experience in heavy engineering production – 5yrs+ post apprenticeship experience.
The ability to interact in a service environment.
Program and operate in a heavy engineering service environment.
Operate centre lathe with a bed size of 12-metres.
Read, understand and transfer the drawings into “bedding language”.
Ensure that all projects are completed within the relevant timeframe and budget.
Train staff and apprentices under his responsibility.
Maintain housekeeping.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Health and Safety policies.
