This Cape Town based internet hosting company is looking for a Helpdesk Support Engineer to join their team. Matric with suitable qualification, 3 years’ experience working in an IT Call Centre of Help Desk with knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking, Routers, Windows and Linux is required. Must reside in Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Kuilsriver or Paarl.
? Suitable degree or qualification.
? Must currently reside in Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Kuilsriver or Paarl.
? Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
? Own transport.
? Must have submitted at least three questions and answers on any of the Stack Exchange sites.
? Knowledge about virtualisation technologies, especially VMware.
? Experience in RAID, fail-over and disaster recovery setups.
? 3 Years experience working in a Call Centre or in a Help Desk team.
? In depth knowledge of servers and networks.
? Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking and routing - must be able to demonstrate this.
? Windows and Linux skills.
? Knowledge of at least two mail systems.
? Onsite IT support experience required.
? Must have no problem with working overtime hours.
