Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and improve standards in this High Care Unit
• Gain optimal staff usage and ensure that sufficient staff is on duty at all times in the High Care Unit
• Ensuring a cost effective nursing operation
• Staff management and training
• Management of stock and equipment
• Management of patient care and client services
• Management of the nursing budget in the High Care unit
• Ensure effective Doctor, staff and patient relationships
• Comply with company policies, procedures and internal controls
• Designing and implementation of marketing strategies for the Unit

Applicants for this position must:

• Be registered with The South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Diploma in ICU Nursing preferable but not essential
• Previous Nursing experience in a High Care environment is essential
• Qualification in Nursing Administration would be advantageous
• Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills
