My Client a well known Casino Operation and partof a National Outsourced F&B Group is looking for an F&B - HOD / Supervisor.Remuneration : R 6000.00 - R 7000 Per Month The successful incumbent’s main responsibilities will be:
Dealing with GUEST comments / requests promptly to insure the Acquisition and Maintenance of GUESTS.
Drive the broader goals of the F&B Operation, in terms of the F&B department, by planning and achieving objectives.
Training of STAFF and trainees in line with the Company Standards.
Following and implementing new trends.
Interacting with GUESTS to receive valuable feedback and thus being a salesperson, researcher and problem solver.
Ensuring that the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurants, stores and bars are of the highest standard.
Assisting in the management of the Conference and Banqueting Department.
Forecasting anticipated volumes of business and schedule STAFF accordingly.
Overseeing and assisting with daily, weekly and monthly food, beverage, paper supplies and operating equipment stock takes.
Calculating of daily F&B cost of sales and immediate action on variances
Calculating of selling prices to ensure an acceptable profit margin.
Correct and safe use and maintenance of equipment.
Implementation and maintenance of the F&B marketing plan including the F&B database printed marketing material, online advertising and any other F&B marketing opportunity.
Applicants would need the following requirements to be considered for this position:
Matric, formal Hotel management diploma (highly advantageous) and at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar position
Exceptional computer literacy with special focus on Micros, Opera, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Valid Driver’s license.
Be contactable afterhours to assist in periods of high demand or in case of an emergency.
Ability to work shifts: morning, evening and late shifts.
Be extremely passionate for this industry, have a positive attitude and have the ability to think out of the box.
Fully literate and numerate (able to perform relative calculations, statistics and be able to interpret basic accounts and financial statements / reports / invoices).
Have the ability to forecast periods of high demand and be available during such periods.
Must be able to maintain physical stamina to personally supervise areas of responsibility.
Have knowledge regarding food safety and general hygiene.
Assertiveness, patience and good organizational skills.
