MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Permanent Management EE position
• Degree in Mining Engineering or BSc Hons in Geology
Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
12 years Mining Operational and Technical experience
5 years Operations and Exploration Geology experience
5 years Mine Planning management experience
Post Graduate Qualification in Business Administration advantageous
• GDE in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resource Management advantageous
Project Management Qualification advantageous

• MAIN DUTIES:
Develop, evaluate and monitor strategy to ensure the attainment of MTS objectives
Manage the development and monitor the compliance of short, medium and long term mine plans.
Manage the grade control process and maintain a long term geological grade model for the Mine.
Active exploration for new ore bodies and extensions to existing ore bodies.
Coordinate technical departments such as Survey, Geotech and Rock Engineering.
Coordinate Mining Engineering projects in terms of continuous business improvement.
Formulate a sustainable mining strategy to include practical and economically viable pit deployment and airspace management
Develop MTS business plan presentation and present to Steercom and JV boards.
Ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented and compliant with the necessary requirements.
Develop an annual budget plan and make inputs into the 5 year budget plan
Report on a monthly and quarterly basis the analysis of budget deviations to Steercom.
Coordinate the compilation of life of mine plan, tonnages mined grades and destination of various rock types.
Coordinate and check the compilation of detailed waste rock dump and stockpile plans with eposition plan, depletion plan and accurate grade model
Ensure compilation of year end mining and business forecast
Oversee the annual updating of the Geology model using lithological, (rock type) assay (grade) and
structural data (location)
SALARY PACKAGE:
R1,800,000 - R2,000,000 p/a CTC
