An exciting vacancy exists for a Hospital Clinic Manager. This person has to be a doctor with strong management and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume accountability for clinical governance matters relating to patient safety, quality care, infection prevention and control and adverse events
• Ensure the quality of clinical information is accurate and of a high standard to enable quality clinical coding information
• Ensure financial and efficiency management of the clinical department’s budget
• Participate in and take responsibility for clinical risk management that includes audits, program implementations, addressing unwanted conduct, pro-active identification of patient safety measures etc.
• Responsible for the investigation of all clinical complaints and preparing feedback based on investigation as per standard policy

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered as a medical professional with the Health Professions Council of SA as a Doctor to be a Hospital Clinical Manager
• A minimum of 5-8 years’ relevant clinical experience in a hospital environment Comprehensive experience with quality improvement processes together with a strong preference for maintaining and improving clinical quality standards
• Demonstrate an understanding of the multi-disciplinary clinical environment, systems and related processes
• Good knowledge and understanding of legislation impacting healthcare and the industry in general
• Strong leadership abilities together with a preference to relate and network with relevant stakeholders
• Strong financial acumen and intermediate computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office suites
• The ability to persuade and influence peers, clinical colleagues and independent practitioners to focus on patient safety and centricity, and change behaviour where required
