Accounts Assistant.

Exclusive Hotel  & 5* Game Lodges Management / Marketing  Group

Bryanston - Gauteng.

Our client is seeking a candidate with a 4 - 5* hotel/lodge financial background.

ACCPAC is a prerequisite.

Advanced Excel skills would be greatly beneficial.

Formal tertiary qualification ; would be a bonus.

Matric is essential.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar field is crucial.

ASSISTING FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT AS FOLLOWS:       

To accurately complete the daily, weekly and monthly returns, submitting these timeously on the prescribed format in accordance with company standards.

To reconcile and balance cash, floats and dockets ensuring that these tally with daily income and expenditure.

To notify management immediately of any variances in the above.

To ensure all documentation for the receipt and issuing of commodities is accurately completed.

To inform management of any shortages, surpluses or irregularities in connection with the above item and ensure that queries are handled immediately.

To assist with stocktaking at prescribed intervals.

To extend and process stocktaking figures accurately and timeously.

To ensure that petty cash vouchers and relevant documentation are securely and systematically kept.

To ensure that control systems are operating effectively within agreed parameters.

CREDITORS

 Process all invoices ensuring they are matched to relevant purchase orders and authorised.

File all paid documentation promptly.

Check and process all credit notes and allocate as necessary.

Liaise with all creditors and suppliers.

Review all supplier statements ensuring all documentation has been received and processed accordingly.

Produce weekly aged creditors lists and take appropriate action to clearing down the outstanding items.

Produce month end aged creditors lists with commentary, no later than 5 working days after the month end, for review.

DEBTORS

To liaise with all clients holding account facilities.

To timeously send out invoices & follow up on client queries.

To timeously send out statements & follow up on payments due as & when required.

GENERAL

To complete general administrative duties as is required of the position.

Assist in the statutory reporting to local authorities.



Salary R14000.00 Cost to Company.

This includes a 13% compulsory provident fund contribution.
