General Manager wanted for busy resort in Margate. This unit runs at high occupancies, and we need a competent, energetic candidate who enjoys pressure. This position is open to all applicants.

The resort is self-catering, and so an applicant with STRONG ROOMS DIVISION BACKGROUND would be most suitable. The unit is part of a large national group.

Minimum requirements
Matric
Formal Hotel School qualification
Steady work record with contactable references
Good career progression
At least 5 years’ experience as General Manager of 3 - 4 star larger units
Sales-orientated and customer driven

Responsibilities include:
The overall operation of the hotel
Actively managing the various departments via the HOD’s
Involvement with the sales team for maximisation of profitability of the unit
Liaison with both clients and suppliers

We need a person with good business sense, an entrepreneurial individual, who will be enthusiastic about meeting unit targets, leading the hotel team from strength to strength. Good people skills are essential.

Salary is R25 000 CTC per month negotiable on experience. The company offers medical aid and pension fund in addition to the basic salary. This position is live-out.
