A 5 star hotel based in Cape Town CBD is looking for a Group and Events Coordinator to ensure maximum potential business can be reached for both F&B and Rooms Division.

Requirements:

• Matric or recognised Hotel School Diploma or relevant experience
• 2 - 3 years’ relevant experience in a large 5 star Hotel
• Good knowledge of administrative and financial policies and procedures
• Computer literate – MS Office and knowledge of Opera will be advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• Excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage service
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Represent the hotel in sale capacity during property site inspections and educational visits
• Ensure good working relations is maintained with all clients
• Understand and apply policies of the hotel applicable to group accommodation and F&B
• Communicate all areas of concern as received from client to the relevant department
• To act as main liaison between client and hotel during group stays
• Ensure input and co-ordination of booking for all group/event booking (over 5 rooms)
• Answer all enquiries ensuring that follow-up is done timeously
• Communication of all enquiries and reservations to the hotel sales division
• Ensure finalisation of all accounts relating to groups and events
