A top, state of the art, luxurious hotel in Cape Town is looking for a dynamic, highly professional individual to manage and build relationships with the corporate market in Gauteng. This market will include corporates as well as travel management companies and it involves negotiating and putting together contracts which will include the groups, events and banqueting business. Includes a focus on new and existing business development for global partner hotels.

Please note: this position will be based at home. You will be set up with a fully functional office. Therefore, this role requires someone that is highly disciplined, someone that is self-motivated and able to work on their own successfully.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales target
• Develop and implement sales strategies
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients (corporate and travel agent segments)
• Negotiate high quality contracts with existing and new clients
• Compile and track sales data, reporting, administration
• Analyse the company’s sales policies for improvement and changes
• Identify, analyse and implement new methods and techniques to achieve sales growth
• Handle indoor and outdoor sales activities
• Participate at trade fairs and events

Requirements

• Own vehicle and driver’s license
• Clear criminal record
• Matric is the absolute minimum requirement. High preference for someone with a diploma in hospitality/travel/tourism or business administration
• 3-5 years sales experience in corporate sales in travel/hospitality
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Organised, professional and highly presentable
• Interpersonal competenices and presentation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and has good time management skills
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a team
• Customer centric
• Results orientated, goal driven and self motivated
