Systems Support Technician

The main responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Attend to all departmental IT support calls
Ensure that all backups are performed timeously
Install, connect and test new equipment as and when required
Disconnect, move, reconnect and test computers as and when required
Assist in setting up services and special applications.
Install and test software and operating systems on local computers.
Install licensed software from Master copies
You will need to meet the following minimum requirements in order to apply for this position:

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
A+ Certification or equivalent formal training critical
3 to 5 years’ experience in I.T. networked computer environment
Working Knowledge of Windows, networking and MS Office products
Windows server knowledge will be an added advantage
A highly motivated person with good communication skills is required
Specific job requirements for the position include:

Required to work in a smoking environment.
Shift work is an operational requirement.
It will be advantageous if you have your own transport
Salary R 18 000 CTC
