THE BOARDROOM-REFRESHING RECRUITMENT seeks a HOSPITALITY TRAINER for our client a luxury 5* hotel, to provide a comprehensive learning and development service to the hotel to enable effective and consistent 5* service delivery, while developing individual potential and capacity. HOTEL experience paramount. A strong focus on F&B Training & Butler service. If you meet the criteria below, then I would like to hear from you! To assist in the improvement of operational service delivery, quality and performance.Role requirements: Diploma in Hotel Management, HR or equivalent, F&B Operational experience at managerial level in Front Office and Food and Beverage departments for a 4/5* hotel, Training as a certified trainer and Skills Development Facilitator, A Skills Development Moderator or Verifier qualification would be an added advantage Ability to assess training needs in all F&B outlets and translate these into comprehensive learning programmes with appropriate budgets, Sound administration and organisational skills A passion for people development : F&B operational experience Main job functions:Training and Development Identify F&B training needs throughout the hotel and compile this information in a way that is easy reference (e.g. for the monthly HR report),To research, compile and implement a comprehensive learning programme that covers, financial, administrative, customer, leadership & management, brand and soft-skills components suitable to improve skill levels across the hotel,Construct and facilitate internal training programmes, aligned with the standards and operating procedures, including soft-skills,To manage department ‘Drills’ to ensure consistent skill delivery,Compile, launch and manage training assessments in order to ensure adequate skills levels throughout the hotel,To facilitate Department Operational meetings, offering suggestions with regard to improving operational performance (this includes team building exercises)Assessment and design of Training manuals, materials and presentations that are relevant to the Hotel and the training needed. This includes regular follow up and updating of the various manualsMonitor and assess participants post-training and provide feedback to HoDsTogether with the HoD, compile and update SOP manuals for relevant departmentsParticipate and coordinate the Coaching and Mentoring programme. Administration and Coordination Assist with the compilation of the monthly training schedule, including the coordination of venues when needed,Set up of training venue as required and with the necessary tools for the participants,Draw and compile reports as needed, including a monthly Training report for the HR report,Interview, select and manage the Hotel Trainee programme through developing mutually beneficial relationships with local and international hotel schools,Make application for development courses (bursaries) as part of the CATTHSETA discretionary grant programme to improve the qualification base of employees,Recruit and select candidates for placement on discretionary development programmes and coordinate their classwork and study,Administer the annual Workplace Skills Plan according to the requirements of CATTHSETA.To participate in the industry Training Forum and to continually seek methodologies that will improve the hotel’s learning and development capacity. Quality Management Inspect operational departments for quality shortcomings and provide corrective solutions to these,Work with Departmental Managers to develop and sustain a quality programme based on the various mystery guest programmes,Use the monthly reports to identify areas in the departments for which corrective processes can be devised. Work with Departmental Managers, to develop, implement and monitor these. Support Provide operational support to departments when needed,Provide training support to the HR and Development Coordinator with regards to training interventions and individual development needs within the Hotel.
