Kendrick Recruitment are currently looking for an exceptional Housekeeping Manager for one of the most exclusive safari lodges in Southern Africa!The main purpose of the Housekeeping Manager is to:manage the members of the housekeeping department to ensure the cleanliness, aesthetic appeal and maintenance of the guest suites and public areasensure the smooth running of each lodge laundryprovide the training required for the housekeeping standards to be attained and maintainedeffectively control procurement and stock within the departmentmanage housekeeping budgetsMore specifically the Housekeeping Manager ensures that the housekeeping supervisors and housekeepers are familiar with the Lodge standards in terms of cleaning of guest suites, public areas and laundry process. He/she must ensure that the housekeeping staff are fully equipped to attain these standards through the provision of training and procurement of any materials or equipment that are required, within budget parameters.There must be effective communication with lodge management in terms of all guest requirements and with lodge management and the maintenance department in terms of any maintenance issues which should then be followed up and confirmed as complete.As such the person filling this position needs to have:Knowledge of world-class housekeeping standards and proceduresStrong administration ability – particularly in terms of procurement and stock controlComputer skills – E-mail, MS Word and Excel in particularThe ability to manage, motivate and train a large staff complementAssertiveness and strong communication skillsAttention to detail and consistent follow upReliabilityAgility and staminaThe salary on offer is R 7 500 - R 10 000 a month live in including meals and uniform as well as company contributions to medical aid and provident.Apply as soon as possible with your CV and a recent photo.
