We are looking for a qualified HR and Administration Head to join a well-established non-profit organisation that focuses on community upliftment in the poverty stricken informal settlements surrounding Johannesburg.
The position requires work to be carried out on-site at the Head Office and the Community-Based Offices presently located in Lawley. There may be the occasional requirement to work on weekends or public holidays.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Administration
• Oversee and manage lease agreements and relationships with property owners
• Assist the Executive Director with procurement of items for programme activities and Company offices and maintain vendor and service provider relationships
• Assist in getting quotes to contribute to budget development
• Manage stock and inventory controls for Head Office, Community-Based Offices, Food Security and Early Childhood Development Programme components
• Manage front office operations, mail collection and distribution at the Head Office
• Manage Company records and filing system at Head Office and Community-Based Offices
• Oversee and manage IT systems and equipment required by the Company
• Ensure that the IT system is appropriate for the Company
• Ensure that all electronic records and information are backed up
• Ensure that hard copies are filed according to the filing policy
• Manage the Company’s service agreements, e-tolls, subscriptions and insurance schedule and policies, and the like

Human Resource Management
• Coordination of the HR policy development process, under the guidance of the Executive Director
• Conditions of employment and employment contracts for all staff below the level of
management, recruitment and employment
• Induction and probation
• Recording of applied for leave by staff of whatsoever nature and time off in lieu of overtime worked on a week-end day and public holiday
• Provide advice and information to all staff about HR systems, policies and procedures, and assist them to understand how they work, and how to engage with them.
Knowledge and Skills required:
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma
• At least 5 years supervision or coordinating experience in an NGO environment
• Advanced computer skills including the ability to use Word, Excel, Power point
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, including conflict management
• Proven Administration and Management skills
• Good public speaking skills
• Understanding of the non-profit sector and some experience of working in marginalised and under-resourced communities
• Understanding of the SETA, NQF, QTCO and skills development systems and processes
• Understanding of ECD sector

Salary: R20,000 to R26,000 CTC (Depending on level of experience)
