We are currently looking for an exceptional Payroll and HR Administrator to be a part of our excellent team!

Requirements;
• Matric
• Minimum 3 Years’ experience in a similar position
• Relevant tertiary education (advantageous)
• Computer Literate (VIP Premier essential)
• Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Good interpersonal relations with proven communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities;
• Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications in conjunction with the line manager, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates, preparing offers, engagement packs, regret letters, new employee checklist and on boarding. Updating recruitment list as well.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and report back on exit interviews.
• Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
• Manages the administration of payroll and maintaining employee records. (Annual tax year end submissions)
• Manages the salary administration program to ensure compliance
• Assisting with regular salary reviews/benchmarking
• Month end reporting i.e. costing, general ledger, BIM, ODBC
• System administration i.e. updating system versions, back ups and roll overs
• Manages the administration of third parties and benefits programs such as medical aid, provident plans, leave, employee assistance, SARS, department of labour.
• ESS Administration
• Time & Attendance administration (Assessing reports and highlighting trends. Deducting short time from salaries)
• Investigate and understand causes for staff absences.
• Recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties.
• Schedule performance reviews for all new employees in their probation period.
• Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations.
• Assist with the implementation of a new performance management system
• Provide advice and assistance to staff and management
• Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities,disciplinary procedures and absence management; preparing staff handbooks;
• Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures;
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
• Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with the Labour Law
• Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions.
• Prepare warnings and represent HR in disciplinary hearings and in absence of the HR Manager representing the company at CCMA/DRC
• Administration of bargaining council funds i.e. AHP & SAF.
• Assist in the design, development and delivery of strategic and operation HR services of the
organisation
• Assist in carrying out staff audits, personnel file audits and identify gaps and propose possible solutions
• Maintain an up to date and accurate staff records and filing system.
