Job descriptions:
This position provides support to departments on various human resources functions such as recruitment and selection, payroll & benefit administration and generalist duties.

Recruitment and Selection
• Effective and timeous coordination and completion of all aspects of recruitment and selection processes according to set standards;
• Manage the full recruitment cycle from drawing up job specifications, managing the interview process, ensuring the conducting of references and managing the Orientation process.
• Effectively coordinate and monitor induction programs and probation reviews for employees appointed to new positions.
Payroll Administration
• Responsible for the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for the employees on the Pastel Payroll System (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leave, terminations and check and authorise claims)
• Verifying attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and posting information onto designated records
• Preparing and verifying statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, medical aid, pension plans, garnishments and insurance
• Maintaining records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or Computerized systems
• Reviewing time sheets, work charts, salary computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
• Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel and overtime claims;
• Maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization
• Maintain a proper document control system
• Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislations that impact on remuneration

Assist with administrative tasks as required by management. These tasks will include traveling and accommodation arrangements, compiling reports, meeting arrangements, minutes of meetings, events management as well as general administration and filing etc.

Requirements:
